YELLOWSTONE

Grams told us all that the Yellowstone Trip this year would be an "adventure." Boy should we have listened. She had originally booked us some "rustic" cabins where bear attacks have occurred recently and the river was flooding over the banks . . but a rock slide blocked the road so we could not get to them. We ended up staying in a hotel in Gardiner. The weather was frigid. Some of the in-laws attitudes were just as frigid. (haha . . . but remember behind every tease is a hint of truth.) Anyway, it might not have been the trip we had originally planned but we winged it and everyone had a good time. AND, as Grams promised, it was definitely and ADVENTURE!

Obviously Mandie has never heard of "personal space." She makes me cringe!!

Here's everyone after our trip to the Ranger Museum. Probably the biggest group of people that the rangers there have ever had to entertain. (And quite possibly the biggest group they were ever excited to see leave.)

We sort of got busted by the front desk at the hotel for kids jumping and being too loud. Mind you, it was Jay's room and Grandma's room that got called in. The Southwick room where all the little boys were hanging out did not receive a complaint. Now I'm not saying it was the little boys jumping on the bed . . but . . . the pictures might show otherwise.

But even if they might have been guilty, could you really get mad at these cute little guys? And of course, since our room never got called in, we never had to admit to anything.

Of course there was the breakfast in the freaking cold wind/snow. Check out gramps . .. think he's complaining about having to make everyone's breakfast?
